The presentation of before-and-after images is subject to strict legal regulations. Images of surgical results may only be freely accessible if the procedure was medically indicated. This is the case when the surgery is performed with the goal of restoring an original, normal, and healthy appearance, for example, in the case of a deformity (cleft) or after an accident. Results of rhinoplasty, eyelid surgery, or facelifts are only included here if they were medically necessary, for example, due to facial nerve paralysis, visual field restriction, or other functional reasons.
All results of the cosmetic procedures frequently performed by Professor Gassner are available in a secure area with an access code. Interested patients can request this access code via email. To comply with legal requirements, please let us know which procedure you are interested in: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
I have been making a special effort for many years to correct your nose in the most gentle and minimally invasive way possible, both in terms of cosmetic appearance and breathing function. I use only what I consider to be the gentlest technique, the so-called endonasal or closed technique. I operate exclusively through your nostrils, avoid an external incision on the nasal bridge, avoid nasal packing, minimize the removal of cartilage for grafts, preserve the natural softness of your nasal tip as much as possible, and perform the procedure on an outpatient basis.
I perform a large number of complex nasal surgeries, for example revision procedures after prior operations. In some of these cases, minimally invasive, endoscopically assisted harvesting of rib cartilage is necessary and may require overnight monitoring.
I perform a high volume of cleft rhinoplasty procedures. Many of these particularly challenging cases are referred to me on a national and international level. I perform all cleft rhinoplasty procedures using the minimally – invasive endonasal technique.
My goal is to restore a clearly rejuvenated, natural appearance—one that does not look operated on or artificially tightened. The Non-Delaminating Extended Deep Plane Face and Neck Lift was specifically developed to achieve these goals and is widely regarded as the most advanced facelift technique available today.
I utilize meticulous techniques under miscroscopic magnification in order to achieve the most natural and aesthetic rejuvenation of your upper eyelids. Upper eyelid correction may be comined with an endoscopic brow lift procedure and a lower eyelid blepharoplasty.
The creation of a higher eyelid crease results in a more Western look of the eyelid region. When this is desired, I utilize the required, specialized techniques to achieve the desired outcome.
The position of the eyebrow significantly influences the appearance of the upper face. Over time, the eyebrows migrate downward and may affect your field of vision (visual field restriction). In such cases, I am pleased to offer you endoscopic correction with all incisions hidden in the hair bearing skin.
I can offer correction of your tear trough, tear bags, and fine wrinkles of your lower eyelid skin through a skin incision directly under the eyelid margin or through an incision inside the lower eyelid (transconjunctival technique). I perform these procedures in a high volume and with over 20 year experience.
I perform correction of protruding ears using soft and minimally - invasive techniques that I have repeatedly published. Generally, recovery is fast, a dressing is required only for the first night, and often patients appear socially inconspicuous after a few days.
The so-called cup ear is characterized by an overhanging and constricting helical rim. The ear often appears smaller with associated changes. I perform correction of the cup ear in a gentle manner on an outpatient basis, and for adults under sedation anaesthesia.
I usually perform macrotia correction through a combination of techniques. Often, the earlobe is reduced and the upper segments of the auricle are reshaped in harmonious fashion. The procedure is performed on an outpatient basis under sedation anaesthesia.
I perform correction of the helical rim using your own cartilage from the same or the opposite ear. The procedure is usually performed under sedation and outpatient.
The vertical position of the auricle can be corrected if, for example, it is so unequal that wearing glasses is difficult or if the asymmetry is cosmetically disturbing. I perform this procedure on an outpatient basis, and under sedation anaesthesia.
Correction of a receding and/or asymmetrical chin can be achieved in a minimally – invasive manner through placement of a silicone implant. I perform this procedure under local anesthesia, optionally with sedation, on an outpatient basis. In most cases, patients appear socially inconspicuous in the first days after surgery.
